🔥 Latest M&A Deal: Ahlsell Acquires Rexel Finland in Strategic Nordic Expansion
Stockholm, April 22, 2025 — Ahlsell Group has signed an agreement to acquire Rexel Finland Oy, a leading distributor of electrical products and solutions, from global electrical distributor Rexel. The Finnish unit employs approximately 300 people and generates annual revenues of around €250 million, according to a press release from Ahlsell.
With a strong legacy in the electrical distribution sector, Rexel Finland is considered one of the major players in the Finnish market. The company offers a wide range of electrical solutions for professional clients including installers, industrial firms, utilities, and maritime operations. Known for its technical expertise and customer-centric approach, Rexel Finland has built a solid reputation for reliable B2B service.
Ahlsell, which already operates a significant retail and logistics infrastructure in Finland, sees the acquisition as a key move to deepen its position in the Nordic electrical segment.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close by the end of Q2 2025.
